Mt Glorious is the product of a carefully considered process refining what originally was an 11 minute track. The complex and layered sound allows you to discover something new with every listen, including a live recording from the rainforest in Brisbane's National Park, the aptly named Mt Glorious. I was in a very specific zone when I made this song. In my head it was just me in the middle of the national park while I first started making it, I had just visited Mt Glorious for the first time recently.

I recorded piano, percussion, a string quartet in my home studio, as well as the lush natural sounds from the rainforest at Mt Glorious itself. The vocals are from my often collaborator Hannah Macklin, and the beautiful strings are from Meraki, an all female string quartet in Brisbane. I've been working on Mt Glorious for such a long time, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed immersing myself it in for some time. Feels so good to finally share it with everyone.

Mt Glorious Is a beautiful National Park just outside of Brisbane and I would like to respectfully acknowledge the Kamilaroi people as the traditional owners of that land and elders both past and present.
